MG has introduced the Cyberster, India’s first all-electric two-door convertible roadster that stands out with its sportscar design.

With the Cyberster, MG has made a bold statement redefining what an electric performance vehicle can be.

With its sleek design, scissor doors and a blistering 0-100 km/hr sprint, this convertible blends futuristic style with exhilarating performance. The MG Cyberster channels the spirit of a classic roadster while embracing cutting-edge EV technology.

In this blog, EVJoints brings you an in-depth analysis of MG Cyberster’s battery, range, charging options and lots more:

Battery & Range:

The MG Cyberster EV comes with a 77 kWh Li-NMC battery which gives a range of 580 km.

MG is offering lifetime warranty on the battery for the 1st owner. In case of ownership change, warranty will be 8 years from the first ever date of delivery of the car.

Charging:

The MG Cyberster can be charged at home or at public EV charging stations using a CCS2 connector (for fast charging) or Type 2 connector (for slow charging).

At a 144 kW DC fast charger, the MG Cyberster can charge from 10-80% in just 40 minutes.

With the home charger that comes with the car, it can charge from 0-100% in 12.5 hours.

The charging port is located on the rear-left of the car.

Features:

The dual motor, all-wheel drive (AWD) Cyberster comes packed with advanced features blending futuristic design with thrilling functionality. Its exterior highlights include electric scissor doors, a convertible soft-top roof that opens in 10 seconds and 20-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero tyres.

The interior is adorned with 3 screens: a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and two 7-inch infotainment touchscreens.

Complementing the screens is an 8-speaker Bose sound system. Other features include front & rear parking sensors with 360-degree camera setup, 6-way adjustable heated seats, Level 2 ADAS and 249 L bootspace.

The Cyberster can go from 0-100 km/hr in just 3.2 seconds. The top speed is 200 km/hr.

Pricing:

The MG Cyberster is priced at Rs 74.99 lakh.

Competitors:

The MG Cyberster occupies a unique niche with no direct competitors.

Based on its price point, performance & design, some electric cars can be considered indirect rivals in the premium & performance-oriented segments. Tesla Model Y, Hyundai IONIQ 5, Kia EV6 and BYD Seal are potential competitors for the Cyberster.

Conclusion:

The MG Cyberster is a game-changer, offering supercar-like performance & head-turning style. While it may not be the most practical choice with its two-seater layout & limited bootspace, it delivers where it counts: raw driving joy, eco-friendly credentials and a futuristic edge that’s hard to ignore. For those seeking a weekend escape or a glamorous city cruiser, the Cyberster is the perfect choice. If you’re ready to embrace the electric revolution with flair, this roadster is your ticket to a thrilling ride.
