VinFast launches the VF6 & VF7 electric cars.
VinFast has finally launched the VF6 & VF7 after introducing them at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The VF6 is available in three variants: Earth, Wind & Wind Infinity, while the VF7 is available in five variants: Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky & Sky Infinity.
The VF6 is powered by a 59.6 kWh battery pack which gives a claimed range of 468 km. It supports 3.3 kW & 7.2 kW AC charging, while DC fast charging enables a 10%-70% top-up in just 28 minutes. The VF7 is offered in two battery options: 59.6 kWh & 70.8 kWh, and two drivetrain options: FWD & AWD.
Vinfast is offering free charging for both cars till July 2028 and free maintenance for 3 years. The company is also offering a warranty of 7 years for the VF6 and 10 years for the VF7. The VinFast VF6 is priced between Rs 16.49-18.29 lakh, while the VF7 costs in the range of Rs 20.89-25.49 lakh.

VECV joins hands with Jio-BP for EV charging access.
VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo & Eicher, has signed an agreement with Jio-BP Pulse for access to EV charging infrastructure. Jio-BP Pulse has a network of around 6000 EV charging stations.
This tie-up will provide VECV commercial EV owners access to Jio-BP’s widespread DC fast charging station network situated along highways & city centres. These Jio-BP chargers will be visible on ‘My Eicher Fleet Management’ app where the EV owners/drivers will be able to access real-time visibility of the charger locations & charging status.

Mercedes-Benz unveils the new GLC electric SUV in Germany.
Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled the all-new GLC, its latest electric SUV, at the 2025 Munich Motor Show (Germany). The GLC EV is the company’s first car to use the all-electric MB.EA platform, compatible with 800 V architecture. Two drivetrain options will be available: RWD & AWD. And both options will come with a 94 kWh NMC battery, supporting DC fast charging up to 330 kW. Charging from 10%-80% will take about 24 minutes, while a 10-minute charge can add up to 303 km of range. The Mercedes-Benz GLC will offer a range of 713 km, the highest figure yet for a Mercedes electric SUV. Top speed will be 210 km/hr.
One highly talked-about feature of the GLC is the massive 39.1 inch MBUX Hyperscreen, the largest ever in a Mercedes, combining driver display, central touchscreen and passenger screen into a single glass panel.

ChargeZone takes over Zerovolt’s EV charging hub in Mumbai.
ChargeZone has acquired Zerovolt’s EV charging hub in Wadala (Mumbai) for an undisclosed amount. The charging hub is frequented by heavy commercial EVs (like electric passenger buses) and electric cab fleets.
Kartikey Hariyani, Founder and CEO, ChargeZone, gave a statement: “By acquiring Zerovolt’s flagship hub into our network, we are not only expanding our operational footprint but also reinforcing our commitment to building the backbone of sustainable transport for the country.”

Maharashtra Minister becomes 1st Tesla Model Y owner in India.
Tesla has initiated the first deliveries of its Model Y in the country, with the very first unit delivered to Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik. In the pictures, the Minister can be seen posing with his new white-coloured Tesla Model Y at Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
The minister plans to gift the car to his grandson as a symbolic step towards building ‘early awareness’ regarding green mobility.
