Vietnam-based automaker VinFast has entered the Indian EV market with two offerings: VF6 & VF7. Both are electric SUVs, with the VF6 being the smaller of the two. In India, VinFast has set up its manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu. This has allowed the company to shake up the Indian EV space by aggressively pricing its cars.
The VF6 comes in three trims: Earth, Wind & Wind Infinity.
In this blog, EVJoints brings you an in-depth analysis of VinFast V6’s battery, range, charging options and lots more:
Battery & Range:
The VF6 comes with a 59.6 kWh LFP battery which gives a claimed range of 468 km.
VinFast is offering a 7 year/2,00,000 km warranty on the VF6 battery.
Charging:
The VF6 is compatible with Type 2 chargers (for slow charging) and CCS2 chargers (for fast charging) at public EV charging stations. At home, the VF6 supports 3.3 kW & 7.2 kW AC charging. With CCS2 DC fast charging, the car can juice-up from 10%-70% in just 28 minutes.
And to attract buyers in this highly competitive market, VinFast is offering free charging at its ‘V-Green’ charging stations until July 2028, and three years of free maintenance. With V-Green, VinFast aims to set-up 15000 EV charging stations in a year across India. Also, the company has joined hands with TVS, Global Assure & RoadGrid for after-sales service.
Drivetrain:
The VF6 will be offered in front-wheel drive (FWD) setup only.
Features:
The VinFast VF6 comes with a choice of all-black or dual-tone black & brown interiors. Its cabin centres around a large 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with voice assistant.

Other key features include power-adjustable & ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic glass roof, all-LED lights, vegan leather seatcover and an advanced safety package consisting of Level 2 ADAS, seven airbags and a 360-degree camera setup.
Pricing:
Local assembly has enabled VinFast to competitively price the SUV. The VinFast V6 Earth (base variant) is priced at Rs 16.49 lakh. The V6 Wind (mid-variant) is priced at Rs 17.79 lakh. And the V6 Wind Infinity (top variant) is priced at Rs 18.29 lakh.
