If the car has a maximum charging capacity of 50 kW, the EV charging station will automatically ensure that the charging does not exceed 50 kW, even if the charging station is able to do more than that.

The Nexon EV’s charging capacity is 30 kW while the Curvv supports 70 kW. Prismatic cells can be packed in a compact manner, unlike cylindrical cells that leave some voids. This enables an increase in battery capacity. The battery pack looks the same from outside, but the cells inside & the space utilization are different. The prismatic cell structure gives the Curvv EV a better range.

Conclusion:

Recently, Tata Motors has started mentioning a rating called the C75 range. This figure gives a more real-world range as compared to the certified figures which are usually achieved at ideal conditions. The C75 range testing involves factors such as higher temperatures, air-condition usage, etc. The C75 range for the Tata Curvv EV 55 kWh variant is around 400-425 km and for the 45 kWh variant is 330-350 km. Releasing these figures show how confident Tata Motors is with respect to its Curvv EV. Most reviews have given the EV a thumbs up and if you are looking for a new electric car, do test ride the stylish Curvv.

For anything & everything related to EVs, visit EVGuide from EVJoints.

The 4th electric car from the house of Tata Motors, the Curvv.ev, is making waves, not just for its coupe design, but also for what’s under the hood.
