I\u2019d always wanted to test a longer run on an EV and see how the car, the chargers and the real road would hold up. This trip wasn\u2019t about proving a point \u2014 it was about practical confidence: could I enjoy the drive, stop for breaks, charge quickly, and get back home without drama? I took my first stop at Smile Stone, Kamargaon for breakfast at 8:15 AM \u2014 a clean, reliable stop with good parking (I rested in the car for a bit; the AC used about 2% SOC while I napped). I left there around 9:05 AM and reached <a href=\"https:\/\/evjoints.com\/tools\/ev-chargingstationlocator\/aurangabad\/\">Aurangabad<\/a> at 11:40 AM with 27% state-of-charge left on the battery.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1166\" data-end=\"1536\">Charging in Aurangabad was straightforward even though I had a small hiccup earlier with a different public charger that wouldn\u2019t start. The JioPulse fast charger by the Reliance mall was available and the support team helped me initiate the session. From about 27% I topped back to 100% \u2014 the charger pumped power quickly, and after a short stop I was back on the road.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1538\" data-end=\"1822\">I began the return trip at 5:00 PM, stopped for dinner at Gurudatta Pure Veg at 8:05 PM, and pulled into my driveway in Pune at 11:55 PM with about 26% left. If you\u2019re considering long drives in an EV, it\u2019s not the range number that matters most, it\u2019s how you plan and how reliable the chargers along your route are.<\/p>\n<h4 data-start=\"218\" data-end=\"252\">Learnings from the EV Driver<\/h4>\n<ol data-start=\"254\" data-end=\"1386\">\n<li data-start=\"254\" data-end=\"428\">\n<p data-start=\"257\" data-end=\"428\"><strong data-start=\"257\" data-end=\"296\">Plan your charging stops in advance<\/strong><br data-start=\"296\" data-end=\"299\" \/>Even though chargers were available, one didn\u2019t work (MSEDCL). Having a backup charger location saved time and reduced stress.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"430\" data-end=\"607\">\n<p data-start=\"433\" data-end=\"607\"><strong data-start=\"433\" data-end=\"484\">Real-world range is reliable if driven sensibly<\/strong><br data-start=\"484\" data-end=\"487\" \/>Achieved ~380\u2013392 km on a full charge in mixed highway\/city driving with AC \u2014 good planning means zero range anxiety.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"609\" data-end=\"772\">\n<p data-start=\"612\" data-end=\"772\"><strong data-start=\"612\" data-end=\"649\">Fast chargers can change the game<\/strong><br data-start=\"649\" data-end=\"652\" \/>Topping up from 27% to 100% in ~20 minutes kept the trip on schedule.
