The standard MG Windsor EV comes with a 38 kWh battery pack which gives a range of 331 km.
Battery Warranty:
Both cars come with lifetime warranty for the first owner and 8 year warranty for the second owner. Refer to owner’s manual for more details.

At a 60 kW DC fast EV charging station, the MG Windsor Pro takes 50 minutes to charge from 20%-80%. Using a 7.4 kW AC home charger, the Windsor Pro takes 9.5 hours to charge from 10%-100%.
At a 50 kW DC fast EV charging station, the regular Windsor EV can charge from 0-80% in 55 minutes. With a 7.4 kW AC home charger, it takes 6.5 hours to fully charge the battery.
Both cars are compatible with CCS2 DC fast charging points and Type 2 slow charging at public EV charging stations.
Design & Features:
When it comes to the exterior design, the new Windsor EV Pro & the standard MG Windsor EV do not exhibit any major difference. The few minor differences include the Windsor Pro sporting new alloy wheels and an ‘ADAS’ badge on the tailgate. MG has also introduced 3 new colour options with the Pro model: Celadon Blue, Glaze Red & Aurora Silver.

When it comes to the insides, the new Windsor EV Pro comes with two interior themes. The standard Windsor EV came with just all-black interiors. The Windsor EV Pro offers the option of a light-coloured interior as well.
Apart from this, new features in the Windsor Pro also include a powered tailgate, Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) features like traffic jam assist, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, intelligent headlamp control, etc. It also gets V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) & V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) functionality, where the car’s battery can be used to charge other electric cars and power external devices.
Common features in both cars include a large 15.6 inch touchscreen, an 8.8 inch digital driver display, wireless phone charging, a panoramic glass roof, lounge-like reclining rear seats and a 9 speaker sound system. Safety features include 6 airbags, 360 degree camera setup, advanced Level 2 ADAS, all 4 disc brakes, etc.
Pricing:
If you plan on buying the new MG Windsor EV Pro with MG’s battery rental scheme (BaaS), the price is Rs 12.49 lakh + battery rental @ Rs 4.5/km. For those looking to buy the Windsor Pro without the BaaS scheme, the car is also available for full purchase (vehicle + battery) at an introductory price of Rs 17.49 lakh. This price is valid for the first 8000 customers.
With MG’s BaaS scheme, prices of the regular Windsor EV start from Rs 9.99 lakh (plus Rs 3.5 per km battery rental). Prices for the Windsor EV (with battery) start from Rs 13.50 lakh, and go up to Rs 15.50 lakh.
Conclusion:
Upgrading the Windsor EV’s battery is a game-changing step by MG. Industry experts had praised the Windsor’s features & interiors, but had criticized the low range. Now, the new MG Windsor EV Pro, with the larger battery & longer range, stands at par with the Tata Nexon EV & Tata Curvv EV in the performance chart.
