5 Insider Tips For A Hassle-Free Electric Scooter Rental Experience
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Electric scooters are quickly becoming the preferred choice for intracity transport, as they are cost-effective, easy to operate, lightweight, eco-friendly and require next to no maintenance. Also, these vehicles charge rather quickly. So, there’s not much waiting time and less range anxiety. Among these, low-speed electric scooters are the perfect option for the young and the elderly, as they are slower and, therefore, a lot safer.

Low-speed electric scooters with a top speed of up to 25 km/hr do not require a driver’s license or registration. Moreover, insurance is also not required for such EVs. In this article, EVJoints brings you India’s top 5 low-speed electric scooters, which you can ride without a driving license:

Kinetic Green Zoom

Kinetic Green’s Zoom electric scooter comes in 2 variants: Zoom & Zoom Big B. The Zoom features a 1.4 kWh battery which gives a range of 70 km. It gets fully charged in 4 hours. Conclusion:

When it comes to the question ‘do you need a driver’s license to ride an electric scooter?’, the answer is ‘it depends on the type of electric scooter.’ If you are looking to ride an electric two-wheeler without a license, you can choose from the many low-speed options available in India, the top 5 of which are mentioned above.

These low-speed electric scooters are an impressive low cost & flexible urban transportation option. For short travels within cities, these EVs offer a practical form of mobility. Cycling lanes, narrow pathways & service lanes are all accessible to riders of such EVs. Choosing the right electric scooter and staying informed about the RTO rules ensures peace of mind. Such vehicles don’t even require a helmet while riding, however, we at EVJoints strongly recommend using one for your own safety.
