Hyundai launched the much-awaited Creta Electric at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.
The 1st mass-market electric car from Hyundai India, the Creta Electric is loaded with features. The electric SUV’s design is based on the Creta N Line.
In this blog, EVJoints brings you an in-depth analysis of factors contributing to range anxiety, including the Hyundai Creta Electric’s battery capacity, range, and charging options. The blog also covers pricing and highlights key features.
Battery & Range:
The Hyundai Creta Electric comes in 2 battery options: 42 kWh, which offers a range of 390 km, and 51.4 kWh, which offers a range of 473 km. The battery has been placed on the car’s floor bed which provides a low centre of gravity. This allows for a very composed ride on the highways.
The car’s battery management system (BMS) has been carried over from the premium Hyundai IONIQ 5.
The Creta EV comes with a battery warranty of 8 years. The warranty is transferable to a second owner for the remaining warranty period.
Charging Time, Options & Connectors:
Both battery variants of the Hyundai Creta Electric can charge from 10-80% in 58 minutes using a CCS2 DC fast charger at public charging stations. They are also compatible with Type 2 chargers at public EV charging stations for slower charging. With an 11kW AC home charger, the 42 kWh battery variant of Creta EV can charge from 10-100% in 4 hours, and the 51.4 kWh variant can charge from 10-100% in 4 hours 50 minutes.
The car’s charging port is located in the front, beneath the Hyundai logo in the centre.

App Support for EV Charging:
With the myHyundai (India) app on Google Play & Apple App Store, Creta EV owners can find, navigate and access their nearest EV charging stations. Users can also pay for the charging through the app. And if you want to locate charging stations across different networks, you can download the EVJoints app.

The Creta Electric is a 5-seater SUV which comes with features like dual 10.25-inch screens, 3-spoke steering wheel, all LED lights, 6 airbags, all 4 disc brakes, rain sensing wipers, parking assist, hill assist, regenerative braking, tyre pressure monitoring system, ADAS, charging port with state-of-charge indicator, cruise control, voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, 8-speaker Bose sound system with subwoofer, rear AC vents and sharkfin antenna.
